Not only will the Hokies be looking to whoop up on the Fighting Irish, but we will also have good group of young future Hokies on campus! We plan on having an "always open" SERTC practice at 2pm, which should have some great scraps, and then during the game, VT Wrestling will be honored for the ACC Championship! Hokie Nation will also celebrate Mekhi winning the world title at some point during the game, so we'd love to see as many of you guys through out the day as possible.
The guys have had a strong first month on campus, and will finish off our "preseason" here in the next 9 days. First official practice is October 10th, but as most of you know the fur has been flying for some time now! Matches and practices have allowed a couple of older guys to distance themselves, while a couple of the young bucks to show what a bright future we have in store!
*Slovakia was obviously an unreal experience, Mekhi was such a pro, did everything asked and showed the world what he is all about. He is a joy to be around, his humility and enthusiasm is contagious! Gonna be fun to watch him mature, and become one of the all time greats.
**There are some questions I can answer(weight class questions, scheduling, etc...)but recruiting, injury reports, and the such I have to let you guys figure out over time.
***Hokie Open will have new entrants in Indiana, Davidson, WVU, and GMU.
